Thank you to the entire Bacuri Farm family.
I loved your proposal, bacuri needs to be more publicized because in some regions of the country it is unknown, I was born in PiauĂ, and bacuri is widely used in juices, sweets, etc., but here in Alagoas where I live, nobody knows about it.
One of the best tasting experiences I've ever had...and it was also my birthday month, a real gift!!!
With 64 hectares of preserved forest and a replicable management model, Fazenda Bacuri acts as a guardian of biodiversity and sustainable development in the Atlantic Amazon. We believe that our mission goes beyond products: we want to inspire other initiatives that value the bioeconomy and preservation.
The history of Bacuri Farm begins in the 1970s, when Professor Henrique Osaqui acquired a 64-hectare area in the municipality of Bragança, in the Atlantic Amazon. Motivated by the preservation and recovery of the forest, he began pioneering agroforestry management, valuing the bacurizeiro, a fruit tree typical of the region. This ongoing work transformed the degraded area into a vibrant and productive forest, creating a solid foundation for what would become Bacuri Farm. In 2009, his daughter Hortencia Osaqui took over the legacy, overcoming challenges and expanding the farm into an agroindustry that values Amazonian knowledge. Today, Bacuri Farm is not only a producer of organic jams and liqueurs, but also a space for experiential tourism, where visitors can connect with nature and the history of the bioeconomy of the standing forest.
